Robyn MacKee
Our feelings of not really wanting to get up so early were quickly dispersed as we watched the morning wakeup, a view to make you breathless, the warmth of the sun gently adorned our preparations, then greeted with Robyn MacKee also known as Dr Have-a-Chat! who added spring into the room.
A Clown Doctor with The Humour Foundation, Robyn had the unique ability to make even the not so morning people wake up and feel alive, as she focused on telling us what is really important in life – its not the length – it is the spirit and passion that you contribute. Expecting fun – we certainly had our dose this morning.
Robyn captured the attention of each audience member with a thirst to hear more. Through her own life dramas, she reminded us that gratitude is a neglected emotion, is the hearts memory. Live not of reaction but of creation and be quick to let go!
Gentle reminders as her words of wisdom kept coming and encouraging our women ‘don’t be trapped and remain in the pain of life, loose the baggage and thrive through life by rising above and go beyond your pain’, above all energise your life through appreciation. Look for the blessings and joys = appreciation!
Robyn certainly brightened the room with her contagious smile, it was not difficult to see how she is able to enjoy being a clown doctor and helping, brightening the little lives of children – from the frail, injured and terminally ill while in hospital. Reminding us that we choose to change our lives. WE need to learn simple ways of how to loose the baggage: to choose self care, stimulate our lives by appreciating life and loose yourself to laughter, giving and finding the joy!
