Our topic was "Getting it Right with Networking, even if you are a reluctant Networker" by member, Wendy Buckingham.

Wendy is a long time networker who spoke from personal experience and professional speaking experience.

It was a great topic to start the year, reminding everyone the tips for the do's and don'ts of networking.

Our morning had lots of new faces, visitors and members who were keen to know more about this important topic for their business.

Wendy covered essentials such as:

• Understanding the fundamentals of networking
• Networking within your organisation
• Opening conversations that engage rather than enrage
• Being memorable (but not annoying)
• How not to get “trapped” at networking functions
• The do’s and don’ts of effective networking

The ladies present also managed to get some of their own needs covered within the room such as looking for other businesses to come into their premises etc. demonstrating that with networking, someone else knows who can help you with your needs.
