Inspiring Women – Event Review – May 2006

By Shari Hooper

It’s all in your head.

This is a sentence usually directed with a stern glare at someone with a clearly unfounded suspicion.

But what if it’s true? What if “what’s in your head” is the difference between dreams coming true and tepid success?

The June 2006 Inspiring Women luncheon was indeed a rare opportunity. Lynda Dyer, a much sought after speaker, who normally delivers a very comprehensive presentation over a period of days, agreed to share what she feels is the secret to success, in an action-packed half-hour.

“It’s so simple….Really!”
Lynda Dyer paints a picture of success.

The subconscious forms a huge part of our decision making process. As if the business world isn’t tough enough, it seems that in many ways we could be unwittingly sabotaging ourselves every single day!

Lynda says that you may truly believe that you are doing everything that you can to realise your dreams. But what if your subconscious has a different plan?

But, what if you could turn any negative into a positive? What if you could learn to recognise the slightest confusion in your path and know how to deal with it with absolute certainty?

I went in to this luncheon seminar thinking that I’d probably hear something interesting.

I left having learned something critical to my future.

Lynda has an extraordinarily warm personality coupled with a wicked sense of humour, which makes her one of those magical people who fill you with a feeling of self-worth and possibility.

Lynda’s animated presentation had everyone entranced with many nods of self-recognition at various points she made. Even in the short time that we had, she managed to equip us with a few simple checks and balances to start serving our own highest potential.

Inspiring Women would like to extend its immense gratitude to Lynda Dyer for the donation of her time and for an absolutely fascinating presentation.
