Take 4 local ladies in their fifties who are friends...
Mix in life, it's highs and lows and you've got a story too good to put down!
Sheree da Costa, Danielle DuBois, Jillian Flitton and Debbie James are proud to have finished this book.
The foreword is written by Layne Beachley and the “Afterword” is from Pam Burridge – as I’m sure you’re aware, both women are surfing legends.
All four of them are now over 50 years of age, and still surf several times per week, and intend to keep on doing so until they can’t carry their surfboards down to the waters’ edge!
Between between the four of them they’ve had some major hurdles to overcome:
Debbie lost 20 kilos in a year and now surfs like a champ,
Danielle overcame major back surgery after discovering a 3cm tumour inside the spinal cord and is back in the water as if nothing ever happened,
Jill deals with two teenage daughters on a daily basis (including one currently sitting her HSC) and her aim in life is to find the perfect balance between husband, children, work and leisure.
Sheree has had thyroid cancer 18 years ago and 15 months ago had to deal with a marriage breakup.
You know, the issues that you or your friends go through and somehow survive at the other end!
The book will be launching soon and pre orders are available
